A few questions regarding dating & love

Visitor's Question:
Hey George, just a couple of quick questions for you, I hope you can help! (by the way, i'm 17)

a)Is doing LDR for 6 years tough? Assuming we are less than one hour away, and we have 4 months off for summer each year?

b) Do all couples disagree and argue? even if they are "perfect"?

c) Does dating change people? (attitude-wise and feeling)

d) Is there a certain age where dating is "right" and mature for both genders?

e) Currently, my girlfriend and I are committed, and have been for one year, we plan to start dating because we feel the time is right and we are both older and mature. We love each other A LOT and really want to wait until we are mature enough to date...so we ensure we spend the rest of our lives together, instead of dating now and possible messing up, does this sound good?

Thanks a lot George!

Our Suggestion:
a) I would never try a 6 yr LDR myself. But that's just me. Too much time apart.

b) Yes, all couples argue. It is natural.

c) I'm not sure what your definition of dating is so it's hard to say. Almost any new thing will change the relationship in good and bad ways. You just have to go with the flow.

d) The right age for dating depends on how the couple feels and it varies from age to age.

e) My advice is to start dating when it feels right and don't try to assign logic to it.

f) We only allow one question a week, please wait a week for your next q.

Thanks! George
