Visitor's Question:
I hope you could help me with this. There’s this guy in my drama class that’s really into acting, is cute, and has a really nice, outgoing personality. We’ve been wanting to be paired up to do a scene in class together and we finally did a couple weeks ago. Anyways, it was an intimate scene where we’d have to kiss. So we performed it last week and he had told me that I could go all out and just make out with him. He has a girlfriend also, but she’s not in our class or anything and another friend of mine had told me that he told him that things were rocky between him and his girlfriend. And I REALLY enjoyed kissing him. We could’ve had just a simple kiss, but he’d just keep kissing me, so I went with it. Plus, our teacher and other classmates commented on our chemistry together. So I figured I’d let him know what I thought about it all through email though because it’s kinda hard to talk to him in class with people around all the time. I had emailed him shortly after and he didn’t respond. We had class again last night and he seemed distant. And I felt so awkward to say or do anything. I didn’t think he’d be weirded out from my email (if that’s why he was distant) because I just thanked him again for doing the scene with me, how doing it helped conquer a genre in acting I wanted to work on (like kissing another actor and portraying convincing chemistry) and said he was a really good kisser and wouldn’t mind doing it again if he ever wanted to. But I meant it as a tongue in cheek kind of joke. I do tend to joke around with him and so I just figured he would’ve been maybe cocky about it or something and then just blow it off. But now, I’m not sure what to think. I never meant to make things awkward and honestly didn’t think I did, otherwise I never would’ve said anything at all. So, I don’t know what I should do. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much

Our Suggestion:
Just tell him in class that you didn't mean anything forward in your email and you hope he took it ok. Or send another email explaining.

Good luck! George
