Am I being naive?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My ex and I were together for 5 years. We broke up in June of 2005. I am only 19 so you can understand why he became like a family member to me. I was very insecure when we met. And it only progressed as time went on. Eventually I became very jealous and needy. I expected him to fix all of my problems. One day I got mad because he was lieng to me and being inconsiderate and I said I was done with him as I seemed to do quite often. The truth is that I just wanted him to change, but he held me to it and the next day he was with a new girl. I was the only girl that he had ever been with so this now is not that shocking to me. We continued to see each other and go out and fool around for about a year but we argued still and tried to make each other jealous. We quit talking in July and since then we have both grown a lot. I have my own apartment now, a real job, and confidence in myself. I sent him a message a month ago confessing the truth of what really happened, my insecurities, and my infidelities. Not to make him made but to get it all off of my chest. He got really mad and said horrible things. But two days ago he came over. It was so comfortable and we got along great. I slept with him which I probably should not have but the entire time was great. We have both grown so much and it was very obvious. My question is do you find it likely that we could ever work this out and if we do get back together do you think it will throw us both back into old habits? Our Suggestion: Before you were jealous. Now the shoe is on his foot. You could give it a try with him, but if he is jealous also you may find it impossible to return to a relationship.
