Should I move on or hang on?

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
My boyfriend just "broke up" with me. And i wish the other advice could have helped, but we just don't fit descriptions. When we were dating, we barely saw each other outside of school, because he was so busy with outside things, all of which i was aware of. He literally is never home for more than a few hours to sleep and do hw. This year, he's a junior, and i'm a sophmore, and he just ended our relationship by the phrase "Taking a break". He said (in a nutshell) that this doesn't mean the doors to his heart are closed, and i still hold the key to them. He was very kind, as always, and was hugged me when i started tearing up. He's going to have even less time than last year, and he knows he cant be there for me, he's looking at a college in another country, is going there for an extended period of time, and an ongoing problem that apparantly would put me in danger if i knew about it, and he is in danger, and I dont know what to do. Should i wait for him, when he has more time. Or should i move on, stay good friends, and just stop loving him? He is my first love. Undoubtedly.

Our Suggestion:
Your future with him seems very limited.

He has no time, he is moving away for a long time, and there is some danger (which I didn't understand) in your lives.

All in all, take him at his word that he needs a break and assume that he is history. My advice is that you don't waste your precious time on him.

Good luck! George
