too much too fast

Visitor's Question:
I went on my first date with this guy to a school dance. I'd never kissed anyone before. He was really sweet and polite but we ended up going to the dance late and leaving early. We were double dating with my friend and her boyfriend. So after we leave the dance, we go back to my date's house. But after we pulled up the driveway, he pulled into the garage and turned off the car and didn't get out, so I didn't either. We just talked for awhile but then he said, "While no one's looking, do you wanna kiss?" I didn't know quite what to say, but since I liked him I said okay, and we did kiss. But later on when we were playing a game with my friend and her boyfriend and my date's parents, he would lose on purpose and then make me lose by playing for me, and then once the two of us were out of the game, he'd pull me over to the couch and kiss me again. He tried slipping me tongue and stuff and it was all waaay too fast. So I'd try to pull away a bit but he didn't seem to notice. Then he said he already had my Valentines present. Now I don't like the fact that he kept trying to pull me out of the swing of things to kiss me on our first date, and I can't really call things off there because he already got me a present. Am I over reacting? What should I do?

Our Suggestion:
You should have a talk with him and explain how you feel.

Tell him he is moving too fast for your comfort level. If you like him, be gentle when you tell him or he may be scared off.

I don't think you are over reacting.

Good luck! George
