Am I doing the right thing? I want him back

Visitor's Question:
My boyrfriend broke up with me about a week ago.
He said it was because he didnt want to be in a relationship and wanted to do what he wanted without being tied down.
He said he loves me but didnt want to be in love anymore.
He has just starting hanging around with a new group of boys and wants to be a boy and mess around.
I have given him lots of space, havn't called him or contacted him in anyway.
Whenever I have seen him, I have smiled and said hello.
He has done the same, asking me how I am.
After not having any physical contact with me at all, the other day he came towards me, hugged me and kissed me on the cheek when we were saying goodbye to each other.
My plan is to keep giving him space, and wait for him to contact me if he wants to.
I want to approach him at some point, and tell him that I miss him, and that if he changes his mind, I am here.
I was thinking of having a gathering for my birthday, which is in April and turn up looking absolutely stunning in a stunning cocktail dress.
I could then approach him alone, and basically say "I miss you, nothing seems right without you. I love you."
Am I doing the right thing? Is this a good plan? How do I get across my feelings of missing him and loving him?

Our Suggestion:
Your plan sounds like a perfect one.

He is sure to be attracted to you because of the occasion and your dress.

It sounds like he misses you already, in fact you may be surprised and make up with him before your birthday. After all it's only been a week.

Best of luck! George
