tongue problems Suggest Advice Do you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I have a short tongue. It's connected to the bottom of my mouth, and I can't stick it out far. Do you think that guys will hold it against me it I can't french as good as they can? Our Suggestion: I have the same problem and I'm a guy. I feel that it is a real problem and one worth discussing with your partner. If nothing else, it will help them understand what is going on. It is called "tongue-tied" and in very bad cases causes speech impediments. You could ask your doctor if cutting the tongue free would be advisable. I never asked so don't know the answer. Good luck!
