He is by far the best thing that has EVER happened to me! One of his female friends told me that he was cheating on me. I asked him about it and he denied it. Of course he would...Since I didn't believe him I went through his stuff and tried to "investigate" things. Well, turns out he wasn't... But he found out what I did and know he says he cant trust me. He thinks I don't love him anymore. He has his bags packed and is looking for another place to stay. I don't know how to prove that I really do love him. When I try and talk with him he doesn't listen. He has put a wall up and I have no idea how to get it down again. I don't want to lose him! He is great with my daughter too. Its not her dad, but he acts like it and brags to everyone that she is his daughter. How do I get him to stay with us? Our Suggestion: He doesn't trust you to trust him and he takes that to mean you don't love him. Presumably you have asked him for a second chance and explained that you do love him and your investigation was done out of love. A positive step you could take which might help the situation but not solve it is to let him know you are going to make his favorite dinner and invite him to join you and your daughter. You have only been dating for a couple of months try to get him to understand that these misunderstandings often take place when you are still learning about each other.
