Visitor's Question:
Ok so, almost 3 years ago i met this young woman, about a month later i developed a crush on her, i thought it was just a crush and would go away, so i decided not to do anything about it, then almost a year later i moved away and my feelings for her didn't go away and we couldnt keep in touch because of the reason i moved. So 2 years later (just about 2 months ago) and my feelings have only gotten stronger, she got in contact with me, we started talking over the internet, and she told me that she has liked me since we met, i thought she was joking and didnt tell her how i felt but after about a week i started to believe her and told her how i felt, now we are acting like a couple and stuff like that but the distance between us (10 hours train ride) is too much and isnt fair to either of us if we have a long distance relationship, and i know my feelings will not go away, because i dont want them to, there too strong and in the 2 years we were apart they only grew stronger so i am expecting them to grow stronger as time goes by, and we cant be together for another 4 years (when i finish my apprenticship and move back down for better job opportunities). Thats pretty much the story, what im wondering is what should i do in the meantime? i would have a relationship where i live but it isnt fair to have a relationship with someone while you love someone else. By the way im 15 now and she is 16 (turning 17 in 2 months) if that helps as all.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, any advice would be great thanks.

Our Suggestion:
I don't favor long distance relationships, especially at your age. Maybe a year could be fun but four years is too long in my opinion.

You owe it to yourself and her and she owes it to herself and to you that you allow each other the opportunity to grow up as normal teenagers. You can't do this long distance. It is important to your individual growth to experience the face-to-face interactions of normal life.

Good luck! George
