Does he still like or does he not want to let me down?

Visitor's Question:
I met this guy here at college about 2 months and we hung out a lot together (along with his best friend). Well I started to form feelings for him, and unknown to me, he started to have feelings for me too. Well we finally confessed to eachother and he said that he wanted a relationship and I agreed, but we didn't fully initiate it. Well he kissed me, and said that things felt just right. I took it as a good sign, but then a few days later he told me he wasn't sure about a relationship. He said that he felt that he liked me but that he was unsure whether he was ready for a relationship. Now this seemed out of place because I remember him telling me (before we confessed that we liked eachother) that he hated being single and that he wanted a relationship. He also said that he thought we needed to have a better level of communication before trying to start things. This I completely understand but then he kept comparing things to this one girl that he had liked in the past (and never got together with). Now today I found out that he is going to hang out with her because she is "having problems". I am very confused and not sure whether I should sit around and wait for him. He told me that he thinks we should just let things take their course over the next few weeks and we'll see how things are between us after that. So, should I wait?

Our Suggestion:
He's not ready for a relationship right now, so you should go ahead and look for another guy.

If you haven't found one within a few weeks and if this guy comes back to you you could make up your mind then.

No reason for you to wait around for him unless he is very special to you and you want to wait.

Good luck! George
