Visitor's Question:
My friend and I have been hanging out and talking for quite some time now and awhile ago I started actually liking her. I didn't tell her this right away because shes told me many times how she doesn't really want to be in a relationship right now because shes trying to focus on all of her college stuff next year. (I know it doesn't sound like it would be taking up that much time but it actually is...well for her any ways.) So I kept quiet about it for awhile until one night when we hung out back in October. She was being unusually nice to me and just acting different then she usually does. Not like in a flirty way but just different.

After that night and a few conversations later she ends up telling me that she likes me...but just wants to be friends. She told me that the night we hung out back in October she had to think about how she was going to act because she didn't want to lead me on by being flirty since she only wanted to be friends. I told her that I liked her to and said that I was completely fine with being just friends. So since that day we've been hanging out more and just going about our lives like we did before just acting like friends.

Now...here comes the problem with all of this. Lately shes been flirting with me more and more. I'm fine with being friends but I would like to date her too. The flirting thing just kind of throws me off of what I was originally thinking. That she just wants to be friends. I mean, if she had to decide that one night how she was going to act around me and chose not to flirt then why is she now? Does this mean that she no longer wants to be just friends? Its really confusing me.

I've asked some of my friends about it and they all just say "just make a move!" or something like that. I would do that but if she still does just want to be friends then I wouldn't want to disrespect her wishes by doing so. It really puts me in an awkward position. If she doesn't want to be just friends and I don't make a move then I'd deffinently regret missing that chance but I don't want to mess anything up either.

I don't expect to you guys to be able to give me the perfect solution to this but I just want to hear an actual intelligent answer to this problem then what my friends have been saying haha.

Our Suggestion:
The answer is fairly simple.

You can print out this question and give her a copy. Her reply will clear things up. Problem is she may get cold feet by reading it.

Better then is to just discuss your feelings with her and ask her what is going on in her mind.

Good luck! George
