Troublesome Co-worker

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
My partner and I have been together for nine months. He has a co-worker that he tells EVERYTHING to. She gives him the same answer every time: "Break up with her and go out with me." Whether it's me dressing up in camos, or if we get into a petty argument, it's the same thing. She calls him on the phone, and then he runs into another room to talk to her. When I confront him about it, he says that they are only friends. I don't trust her, because I feel that she's a troublemaker. How can he be friends with some one like that. I am very accepting about people having friends, but what do I do in a situation like this? Please help me!

Our Suggestion:
It's one thing to be accepting about him having a friend. But, it's another thing when the so-called friend is trying to break up your relationship.

Lay it on the line with him. He has to stop talking with her on the phone.
Unfortunately, this may push him into seeing her alone (if he hasn't done that already).

You need some serious but gentle discussions with him to resolve this problem.

Good luck! George
