Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I met this girl some months ago. We went out a couple of times to dinner and parties. So we went on our own overseas holidays, in the middle of which I called her and told I bought her a nice gift (and I did). She was very happy of course. I have came back now and she will be back soon.... however after having not seen her for 2 months the feelings have waned. I don't even have the enthusiasm to call her (and she doesn't seem to have any enthusiasm calling me back these few weeks either).

Now what do I do? We live over an hour away from each other, I am not sure if she would just travel 30 minutes to see me (nor am I sure I would either... though I would certainly go see her if she wanted me to). Yet I don't want the gift to sit in my bedroom.... No, I don't want to be cheap and give it to some other girl instead.

I suppose I could just try to call her out again to give her the gift... and some how tell her if she still have interest in me I would keep going and see how it goes. I don't think this is quite right what I should be saying, I'd feel like I was simply playing a game with her if I said it.

Though if she kindly refuses then I might as well put the gift in storage.

Should I do this, or pretend to still have interest and try to chase her and in the meantime hope my feelings come back?

I feel like I made some sort of mistake during this whole thing but I can't pinpoint exactly what... Though most of it I attribute to bad timing and bad location.

Our Suggestion:
You have the gift and she knows it. Make a dinner date and give it to her.

After the evening, you should have some sense of both your and her feelings. Based on that you probably will have an idea of how to proceed. Don't pretend to feel something you don't.

Good luck! George
