Visitor's Question: hi. i met this guy a few months ago and we've been on a few dates, just did the normal stuff really, went to watch a film, he took me out for a meal etc. i thought everything was going great and i admitted that i liked him, he said he liked me too. he invited me around his house the next weekend and i ended up staying the night, we just like watched movies, talked, chilled out etc and i met his parents who seemed to like me. just to clarify we're not in a relationship.. so anyway, i wanted us to be in a relationship so i mentioned it and asked him if he wanted to make a go of things..he told me he couldn't as he was too busy with college and work to have a girlfriend, i felt a bit rejected but he reassured me he still wanted to see me.. i thought fair enough and we met up a few more times after that. but recently, he's been talking to this new girl in school who obviously likes him..she shows him all the signs that she's interested and flirts all the time with him, when i see them together she's always all over him too. i can't help but feel a bit jealous but i haven't said anything to him about it. i did ask him who she was though and he just told me she was just a friend so i left it. the thing is, he flirts back with her and i can't help but think that he likes her. i have a gut feeling that he does. i really want something more with this guy, like a relationship, i just really don't know what to do now. i'm scared he's just gonna go off with this other girl. any help would be appreciated. thank you. Our Suggestion: Maintain your friendship with him and at a low level of commitment. If you push him he is likely to bail out, so don't do that. The other woman and he are flirting but you will have to live with that while you flirt with him yourself. So, building a strong friendship without making him commit is the key. Good luck!
