Too complicatedSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I'll try to make this short, but it's rlly complicated, and i rlly neeeed help!! I have been going out with my bf for a year and half, and we've been bestfriends for 7 years before we started going out. The problem is that he's 16 and I am 18, he is half British/half Egyptian and I am Egyptian, he lives in England :S, and we just meet every summer when he comes to Egypt, so It feels horrible every day without him. Since we started I ve been always overlooking all of that coz im deeply in love with him, and he rlly loves me too. We even want to get married, but not b4 at least 5 years till we finish college and get jobs, so it's a lot of time till then :S, he's rlly supportive, and he's always saying how he'll always love me and that we'll work it out till we get married, but do u think he's jst too optimistic coz of his age? cause that's what everyone tells me, but i know him well and i know tht he's jst as mature as any guy my age. My parents are also not happy about it at all, coz he is younger and they think he won't be suitable to build a family with me since we're muslims, and although he is a muslim too he doesn't know as much about our religion as we do, so they're totally disaproving this relationship. I really don't know what to do, I am so in love with him, but I don't wanna be too foolish to believe tht it can work with all these obstacles, i guess this jst works in fairytales :S I jst can't imagine not being with him, we're perfect together, we jst had like 2 little arguments since we've started going out ( i was the one who started both of them last summer coz i was so frustrated that we'll have to see each other in a year, and he was like just staring at me and said u r too cute i wanna kiss you he's that SWEET), and we always end up hugging and kissing :) I wanna be with him forever, but do u think it wud be possible,and rational to think it is possible with everything we have? Soooo sorry for talking that long, I am just really desperate, please try to give me your honest answer and if i have to leave him :'(, he has exams next month, so i want to wait till summer, do u think it wud be better? Our Suggestion: I am sorry you are in this situation. You have described the situation very well and there isn't much I can add. Only you can decide whether to take the chance and endure the pain that these obstacles pose to your relationship. If you break up with him this summer, it will free you to pursue more realistic goals and also please your parents.
