Asking her out may harm friendship.

Visitor's Question:
I have known this girl I like for a little over three years now. I love hanging out with her, and she seems to enjoy it as well. Anytime I come over she always loves talking to me, making me smoothies, and other treats. It seems she likes me, but she may just be really really friendly. I am afraid if I ask her out this will cause severe awkwardness in our friendship and she may not want to hang out anymore if she knows I like her. The reason for this is we both had the same friend who she treated just as well. He asked her out, and she completely rejected him and stopped being friends with him. I really want to start a romantic relationship with this girl, but am afraid of what happened with our friend will happen to us. How do I go about this situation?

Our Suggestion:
A good way to handle this is to wait for her to make the first move.

If she never makes a move then you will know that she values your friendship but doesn't want to take it further.

I agree with your worry that she might reject you and stop being friends.

Good luck! George
