Should i wait for him to talk to me?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I like this guy at uni who i see very often at the cafe during my break. I once saw him talking to a girl i know and i went to them and started talking to her but i was nervous and couldn't say hello to him. I saw him the next day i smiled and said hi to him. so from then he also say hi to me whenever he sees me and i always make sure i have a smile on my face when i see him. This has happened about 4 or 5 times now.Before 3 days i was at the cafe drinking my coffe he came and sat not very far from me but there were some people sitting next to me. They left after sometime but he didn't come to me and start a conversation with me. (but we did see each other before on that day and said hello). This has also happened again yesterday.He saw me in the cafe and said hello but then went to sit not far from me but he didn't come to talk and also left before me (at first there were lots of people but they did leave). Why he doesn't come up and talk to me? Is he nervous or not interested? Should i go and start talking when i see him or he will think i am too easy and loose interest on me. I can't ask the girl who i saw talking to him anything about him because i don't know her very well and don't trust her. Please help. Our Suggestion: It's time for you to make a move. The next time he sits near you, move over and ask if he minds if you sit with him. He will certainly say yes and you will have a chance to talk with him. If you are nervous then learn to practice, practice, practice. At your age you will have to work very hard to overcome shyness. Be prepared with topics of discussion. Obvious ones are what he is studying, where is he from, how long until he graduates, what are his plans for the future, etc. If you have these topics ready, you won't feel so nervous. Good luck!
