hi i have a good friend who i love no doubt about it.

i've had feelings for her for about 2 year but never had the guts to say.

she mainly hangs about with this guy but the feelings are friendly so i mix with their group. she seems to flit with him countineously when he is around and then to get his attention more she may joke that he upset her so she looks away from the group and asks me to do te same.

this is what confuses me when we have done camping as a group if i was like walking slower then everyone else she talk to me about him and say that he want her but she not going to go out with him.

i mean she does somthimes flirt with me, but she has just broken up from a abusive relationship.(this sounds bad however i really don't mean it to) is this the time to make a move or stay well clear as i still want a friendship if she says no!

It's about time you brought up the subject of your feelings for her.

One way to do this without putting her on the spot is to casually say "I really enjoy your friendship and don't want to lose it but I have started to develop feelings for you."

Hopefully she is mature enough to handle this. She might say that she also enjoys being your friend but she wants to keep it that way and see what develops. This is a good answer.

The best answer, of course, is if she says she is developing feelings too.

However she answers, you will be in a better position to know how to act.
