Visitor's Question:
Recently I asked my friend, which is a girl, about one of her friends. I asked her if her friend was single because recently I became attracted to her because she's very pretty. I know this girl because she goes to school with me but we don't really know her eachother because we don't get a chance to be at the same place. So now since school is out I want to make a move and get to know her better to see if there's a possible connection, but my only possible communication to her or my only way to get to her is through my friend because I don't know anyother of her friends and because I don't have her number. So I finally asked my friend if this girl was single and I got an answer that was confusing, my friend said that she was single but wanted to be alone, she also said that many guys have tried and that I shouldn't even try. I can't really take this answer because how can my friend make this girls decision, and even if it is true, maybe she hasn't met the right guy, which could be me. I really want to get to know this girl and maybe date her, but I don't know how to get to her without using someone as a middle man. And if she really doesn't want someone right now, should I stop or be persistent? Is there something special I can do to make a good first impression and sweep her off her feet? What should I do about this situation?, because I can only get to hee through my friend.

Our Suggestion:
Ask your friend how to contact her through FaceBook.

Once you start talking with her, be sure to be calm and complimentary--everyone likes to be admired. Take things slow and find out what she likes. Maybe she likes music, sports, drama, choir, going to the beach, hanging out at the mall. Whatever she says, try to be on her side. Don't bend yourself over backwards to get together with her. She will be sure to detect that you are faking it if you are.

Once you are closer to her, ask her out to the movies "as friends" or take a walk or bicycle or go to the park and hang out. She wants to have fun... don't we all? Give her the impression that going out with you will be both fun and adventurous. Everyone likes adventure.

Once you are very close to her, you are ready to sweep her off her feet. Do this with flowers, candy, dinner out, or a concert.

Good luck! George
