I have known her since kindergarten, and we both went to the same school. Our birthdays are exactly the same day, year, and month and we both just turned fourteen. That's now. But back when we were in late 5th grade we found we both liked each other. Soon after we became boyfriend and girlfriend. But, then, when we got together, summer break was just a few weeks away... Over the break, regretfully admit, I started to think negative things about her and I broke us up when we got back from break... I started to try other girls, but they had no interest in me at all... After two failed attempts, I started to realize she was the only girl I would ever love... Then, I actually fell in love with her this time... I regret that mistake I made years ago, I miss even getting to call her my girlfriend! I Love her more than ever currently! I asked her after a few years of being very friendly and supportive and making her laugh and everything else nice if we could get back together again, because I was very sorry and regretful, and I missed her... (I asked in 7th grade, over the phone) She paused and replied that "Well, I don't want to mess up our last year at...(our school)... and I made a promise with [her 3 friends] that we would all agree not to have boyfriends the whole eighth grade year... I like you as a friend...[pause]". I then replied,"So then, no??". And she said, "...... Maybe in high school... Because I can't have a boyfriend in eighth grade right now". Then we just kept taking about other things... We graduated and we aren't in high school yet, but we will be in a certain class for confirmation every class for the same class... I want to ask her out because we aren't in eighth grade anymore, and I love her so much... I have read about all the signs a girl gives when she likes you, and we've been doing some of them.. I was playing with her hair once, and she did not mind at all.. I held her hand once when I was at her house. I ended up staying until 10:00 PM. I text her now, and we share our opinions which always happen to be the same.. I really want her back.. Please help me.. Our Suggestion: Well, 8th grade is over so now is your time to raise the question with her again. You are not in high school yet but close enough. If she won't be your girlfriend this summer then start asking her to do things with you as "a friend." This will get you together this summer for movies, walks in the park, bicycle riding, picnics, etc. Odds are good that she will be up for this kind of activity and will say yes. Good luck!
