Is he lying to me? Is this too good to be true?

I met my future hubby on the internet 2 months ago. On the first month of our meeting on the internet, he flew from Japan to US to be with me. He was talking so sweet to me. At that point, everything was just perfect. We even started planning to get married in March 2010, have kids, move in together. He seemed so true to me and he even told me that he had put aside money to help paying for my parents airfare when we get married in March. He is 29 yrs old, 6 years younger than me. So, last month I asked him about the money that he has for my parents, he said he needed more time or something. I wasn't really clear but I did not dare to ask more because I was afraid of the truth. So, I ended up paying my parents airfare from my own pocket. I am a bit upset but I think he has reasons. He told me that he is a heart surgeon, he is making tons of money and not only that, since he doesn't have family anymore due to the family death, all the family will goes to his name. He told me that he wants to come here and live in US so bad because he is depressed in Japan. So, now we are planning to get married. He even told me that once we got married, he will put my name under his will as well. All what he told me seems so sweet to the point that it doubts me sometimes.
A week ago, he told me that he was going to Thailand for a social work in one of the mountains in Thailand. Since then, I've never heard anything from him. What could possibly gone wrong? Everything seemed okay before but I am so panicking right now and so do my parents. What would be your suggestions for me to do? I don't really like this point because I don't believe that he doesn't even have 1 minute to call me and say that everything is okay or keep in touch with me through something.
Please any suggestions will help me, thank you so much.

Did he leave an number where you can call him? I think even in the mountains of Thailand there should be *some* sort of way to communicate. :) If you have no way of contacting him and you don't hear from him in another month then you should think about finding someone else. You sound like a very caring person so don't spend too much time waiting for someone who can't recognize your good qualities. I hope things turn out well for you.
