Visitor's Question:
the biggest mistake us men make is that often times we dont seek advice when it comes to women.... so here i am:
its been a year after a long and painful breakup, and now im confident enough to be back in the game. problem is i lost my skills bc i been working and concentrated in school (i will gradute in a year in engineering school). well recently i started to talk to an old friend that i knew since high school. after she got married we lost touch but now she's been divorced for about a year also and well we arranged for a date this weekend which will be our first date for both of us after breaking up with our exes. we talk on the phone and txt n sometimes flirt but i need advice as to how to proceed while im with her this weekend. my car broke down so i wouldnt be able to go pick her up like most men do but she told me she would go to my house and pick me up! that tells me she's interested in hanging out. we have things in common ( she's got a son and i have a daughter so we're both single parents) what should i do in this situation?

Our Suggestion:
I think you answered your own question! You have a lot in common, you're both single parents: what more do you need? You've know her for a while so there won't be that long drawn out period of getting to know someone. But I do have a small piece of advise: don't spend time talking about your ex and don't ask her about her ex. Talk about fun things that you and she have in common. Be interested in her future plans and most of all be yourself, because you sound like a nice guy.
