Visitor's Question: Hey, I didnt really know what category to put this in, but i chose this one because it is friendship/flirting.. so, I have had a crush on this guy from my year since about half way through 7th grade. I am now in ninth and we are both 15. It is a really long story but here it is. He is like no joke the popular guy in our grade. He had been flirting with me all the time since early last year. He has been through a few girlfrinds maybe 2 in the time i have liked him. and he currently has one. I heard a few weeks ago, that whenever he talked to me, his girlfriend got angry and jealous. I am like an average person when it comes to popularity. Anyways, we text quite a bit considering we aren't the best of friends, and i was the first person he text on christmas morning. My friends think he has feelings for me deep down because of the way he flirts, annoys and goes out of his way to talk to me. I have like no self esteem so i never believe them. I want to get over him, but i work so hard to do it, and he just comes straight into my heart a few weeks later. Do you think i love him, or i am in love with him and Do you think i might have a chance with him, because people don't think he will last with his girlfriend because they always fight ect. or should i just give up on him? Our Suggestion: I think you have a serious crush going. It isn't love, since real love only happens after you spend enough time with someone to accept everything about them - the faults, warts and all. It doesn't sound like you have that kind of emotional closeness with him. A big crush can get very heady though! And it does sound like he likes you.
