I have a whole set of tips on dealing with long distance -

it's something just about every relationship has to deal with at one time or another. You should of course *miss* your partner but your partner should never be the only reason you are happy. You should be happy, have friends, have things to do when your partner is not around. Your partner should ADD to that when he is there - he shouldn't be the ONLY reason you are happy. Otherwise it is obsession, not love.

Also if your partner is only 17 and you are an adult, and he is living with his family, you need to take things slow. It is illegal for you to have relationships with him because he is a minor. Wait until he is 18, and gets out on his own and really wants to be with you because of YOU and not because he's trying to "get out of the house". I can tell you thousands of stories of underage teenagers who ran off to live with someone straight from Mommy and Daddy's house - and things broke up shortly afterwards, when they realized that the "escape" was a big reason for what they did.
