Visitor's Question:
I have a 2 year old son with my boyfriend. Week ago I found out He's cheating on me. He's truck driver long distances...so he is lot on the way....and the other girl is from Chicago I am from Florida...so I don't have direct proof but he was calling her a lot last month and he bought her flowers for Valentine's day...Ididn't get anything like every year...I was here carying for our baby completely without money last months and He was cheating on me and buying flowers to her...

My parents are in Europe,..and my father was in hospital last month It was serious and I was pretty down..and the only thing my boyfriend did was that he found somebody else and behave terrible to me... Now when I know ( even when he says he only bought her flowers I know He lies.) he wants to start over and he is nice to me....I don't know what to do.. I don't trust him enymore I would leave him but I am completely financialy dependant on him.

I think He does not love me enymore...but he loves very much his little son. If I leave him I could not surrvive as forriner with a small baby without him supporting me and I would have to fly back to Europe...which means he would not see his son enymore....

Shal I stay with him because of our son...or shall I leave him because I don't trust him and despise him right now...I dont even know if I still love him. He hurted me in past a lot but never cheated on me by now.

Our Suggestion:
You should never stay with someone for financial reasons. That is a sure path to being miserable. Your son will not do well living in a house with parents who are miserable. Talk to local support people and see what your options are. There may be other options you haven't though about. But find an option that does not involve relying on a man you don't want to be with, just for the cash.
