Our Suggestion: The question is if you were standing in front of his friends and went up to him and asked, "Do You Like Me???" in a loud voice! If you put someone on the spot, who knows how they will respond. But if you actually did this in a quiet way, asking him when you two were alone, then he probably answered honestly. The most important thing to ever have in ANY relationship - whether it's friendship, love or anything else in between - is trust and honesty. If you can't even trust what he says directly to you, then it's not going to work.
