It means don't mix up two aspects of your life together because it will create chaos. So don't date a guy where you work. If you can avoid it, then don't go out with her brother. Particularly don't mess around while you're on the job. If you were to date him on your days off, that would be one thing, but kissing him while you're supposed to be watching the little girl is really bad form and can get you fired on the spot.
