Our Suggestion: If you two simply want to be friends who do not date other people, there is no issue. You two don't need to "date" then. You need to agree to be best friends. Parents shouldn't have a problem with that. But if your aim is to DO things with each other, then most parents WOULD have an issue with that. You really should wait until you're 16 to date a guy that much older than you, for all sorts of reasons including serious legal ones.
