Challenging techniques

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Hello,
I hear a lot about these challenge techniques. You know, about playing hard to get, and not being so available. I was wondering if some of these strategies apply to guys (girls) who are currently in relationships? What challenge techniques apply to guys (girls) like us? Or should we even be having to do these things after years of committment?

Thanks!

Our Suggestion:
I think the most challenging thing in a relationship of any kind is to be yourself, to be open, to be trusting. I don't favor special efforts to be challenging ... life is challenging enough.

Perhaps in the earliest stages of flirting there is room for playing hard to get etc. However, I would hope that once a friendship (or more) is established, the common need for openness and honesty would be the better approach.

Best wishes,
George
