Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
1) I know a girl from my class and my work, but how do i respond to her if i see her....if we see each ohter i smile and greet her...she greets back and thats it...sometimes we talk...but thats it....how should i begin a GOOD conversation...."hey.....the weather is going to be bad again today....or.....did i mentioned your hair looks beautiful"

2) I dont know this girl...only by face....i dont know how to start a conversation with her eather....shall i say "hey....i'm not a stranger....i am interested in you...or....can i please know what your hobbies are??...."

Our Suggestion:
I guess the thing about flirting is that there IS no magic mantra to say. If there were one, everyone would say it! All of my pages on flirting teach you how to be generally friendly, but you also have to realize that this person you are interested in is an INDIVIDUAL. This means that she has certain things that will appeal to her, and others that won't. You might try something on her and she'll think it's completely childish. But you could try the EXACT same thing on another girl and the other girl would love you to death. So there's no way that I, not even knowing this girl at all, could possibly guess what would appeal to her.

The key is not to ask yes/no questions. You don't want to have the door slammed in your face immediately. Read the flirting tips. Ask open ended questions. Ask, "What was your favorite scene in Lord of the Rings?" She can't say YES or NO. No matter what scene she chooses, ask her more about it. Draw her into a conversation.

Study up on colors. If she wears a red shirt, say "Did you know that red was worn by the Emperors of China because they thought it warded off evil spirits? What sorts of evil spirits have you warded off today?" I made up the Emperor of China part but you get the idea. Find ways to talk to her in which she has to answer in the same manner.
