Visitor's Question:
hi, i submitted a question like 2 weeks ago about wanting my ex back, we went out for 2 years and a half years and i broke up with her but then i wanted her back but she basically threw everything in my face and said that she got tired of being sad and stressed out and that she felt like i never really loved her or listened to her. she also met some other guy who is older and she says treats her much better then i ever treated her and shes happy right now so to just leave her alone. well anyway she called me recently to say sorry for being so mean and cold hearted with me and she just wanted to clear the air. She said that she never knew that i was in love with her because i never showed her that love and that thats what she got tired of. she said she is happy with her new boyfriend and is sorry but between me and her it might never be again because "it would never be the same" and i told her that i just wanted a 2nd chance to show her that i changed and that i loved her so much. she said that she did think about me one day out of no where about the time when we were coming home from boot camp(I am a Marine), anyway right now i dont know what to think because she revealed to me that she was in love with me and even wanted to marry me at one point. im confused on what she is thinking and confused on i should do because a month ago she hated me and didnt want any more contact wit me at all and now she is saying sorry but at the same time she is in a new relationship. I asked if she loved him and she said no "not yet" so i am thinking that i should probably just let go and hopefully she will come back to me or should i go after her and try to change her heart? I love this girl alot, so much that i wanted to marry her at one point to but now shes gone, i just want your honest opinion, i dont care if you tell me something I might not want to hear, I am just looking for advice and guidance. Thank you.

Our Suggestion:
My advice is the same as I gave you in your question of two weeks ago, and it seems to fit in with your current thinking. The advice is to give her more time and perhaps her relationship with the other fellow will fall through and she will return to you. Don't pursue her, but do followup as a friend and ask her how she is doing and if there is anything you can do for her.

Her relationship with the new guy may be a "rebound" and she may eventually have second thoughts about him. For your sake I hope so.

Good luck,
George
