Lack of trust

Visitor's Question:
My boyfriend and I have been together for a year now. He has a lot of "friends that are girls". I know that they are just friends to him, but I still feel like if he is around them for too long he might fall for them. We "took a break" from our relationship a few months ago, only for about a week. But during that week he started hanging out with a certain girl. I thought they would get together if we didnt work out. Well we ended up getting back together, but he is still friends with her and has classes with her and they do projects for school together. I cant help being extremely upset whenever he tells me that he's going to her house with a group of people to work on a project. I just feel like hes going to leave me for her even though she has a boyfriend now and he says that he loves me and isn't going to leave me. How can I be okay with him being friends with other girls? How do I trust him?

Our Suggestion:
Trust is one of the cornerstones of a good relationship. You must learn to trust him. So far he hasn't done anything to make you distrust him. Whenever jealous thoughts come just say to yourself "But he loves me and I truest him."

Good luck,
George
