Love triangle

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
My ex-boyfriend and I were bestfriends for years before we got together as a couple, but he says he's been in love with me for years. We broke up last month because he got back together with another ex-girlfriend. But he hasn't let me go yet, and obviously, im not over him, too. We still go out and do a lot of couple stuff, but we're not officially a couple. He spends a lot more time with me than her, but he still calls her. He says he loves me still and is planning to get back together with me and maybe even marry me, but till now, he still hasn't broken up with the other girlfriend. I am tired of this love triangle but i can't bring myself to leave him. What do I do?

Our Suggestion:
You need to do a hard thing-- ask him to stop seeing her or referring to her as his girlfriend. If he truly loves you, he will do it, but if he won't, then it looks like he is playing with you.

Good luck,
George
