Doesn't want to be a friend with benefits

Visitor's Question:
Hi, i'm 18 years old. I've known this guy for a year already... I've been playing hard to get since the first time I've met him. I always just call him my "homeboy" and say that he's my friend.. it's just that we both know that there is more to that then what it seems. I've had strict guidelines and qualifications that I put towards guys. I tell him that he's not mixed and that he hasn't earned me yet. I sense sexual tension with him and I can tell that he obviously has feelings for me. We have never told eachother whether or not we have "true" feelings for eachother because I have this problem of not wanting to get emotionally attached. We don't often give eachother hugs and we've had our few little kisses but thats all. We hang out alot but I'm just waiting for him to make the move instead of me. I don't think he tries to show enough feelings but I tell him I don't like "mushy" guys. I feel that he is the right guy for me because he's been so patient. But I'm waiting for him to open up to me much more. Hopefully.. I won't be his "friends with benefits" type of girl.

Our Suggestion:
You may be too strict to attract this boy. Obviously he is not a pushy, demanding type. He may not make the first move. What is wrong with you making the first move if you want him? That's my advice... start a conversation which discusses your feelings for each other and see what develops.
