Tell her or them how you feel

Visitor's Question:
Hello again! I was brave and asked the girl to the dance I told you about earlier. She said she couldn't because she had to do stats for a basketball game that night. She said if she didn't have to, she would have DEFINITELY went (I was SOOOOOO happy)! I then told her if I found out about any more dances, I would let her know about them. She said, "Great!"

Here's a problem yet again. The week after, some of her friends (male and female) asked me if I liked her. I said, "As a friend." OOPS! Wrong move! I should have NEVER said that! I should have said, "Yes!" If I said yes, what you think her friends are going to do? They're going to tell her I like her as a girlfriend, and BAM!!! She knows! God, I'm so pissed off about what I did. Well, at least now I know what to do. See, here's what I realized. When her friends asked if I liked her as a girlfriend, I thought they were asking me just because they felt like it. OOPS! WRONG AGAIN! They were doing it because she want them to find out. It's like this, "Hey, go find out if X likes me!" Or, "Hey, go find out if X wants my number!" ( X being me) See what I mean? God, how STUPID am I? If I told them I liked her as a girlfriend, I definitely would have gotten somewhere, BUT NO! If she knows I like her, what do you think will happen? You guessed it! We would be doing things together. God, I'm just SO PISSED!

Please tell me what to do!

Thanks!

Our Suggestion:
Well, you ought to talk with her and simply tell her what you told me. That you didn't feel comfortable talking with people other than her about your relationship. And, tell her that you DO like her as more than a friend. She sounds like she is interested in you, so you should make sure she knows you feel the same.

Good luck,
George
