Falling out of love?

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Well, my girlfriend(18) and I(19 almost 20) have been dating for almost nine months, and living together for the last 4. We have had an amazing relationship physically and emotionally. No problems sexually or w/ our friendship. But lately, I don't know why, but she hasn't been feeling like my "girlfriend". It's like she's turning into my sister or we're going into the "friend zone". I told her this last night, because I didn't feel right keeping something like this from her. Well she started crying and basically didn't get any sleep from worrying about what was going to happen to us. I still love her. But it definately is a different kind than a few months ago. Does this happen to everyone? I'm usually able to figure out problems in my head but I'm not seeing a positive answer for our romantic relationship and I don't know what to do.. I still care for her dearly and love her like the most wonderful friend ever. I just don't know what to do. Thanks for your time.

Our Suggestion:
Could you be losing the initial high of a new relationship? Or are you falling out of love? It's not an easy thing to figure out. Are you willing to continue considering how you feel about your girl? That's probably what you need to figure out. Would talking this out with her help or hurt?

Good luck,

George
