I want my stripper fiancee to stop stripping

Visitor's Question:
Hi there,
I met my girlfriend when she was stripping in a bar. We started dating, but as I get closer to her the stripping was harder to handle. I knew that I couldn't ask her to stop as this is what she did when we met, so I had to bottle this up inside.

Basically, I knew that she wouldn't cheat on me but I hated the fact that felt that I was sharing her with other people.

Anyway, after a while she decided to get out of stripping and I have propossed to her. We are supposed to be getting married, but after an expensive move we are broke and she wants to go home for a short time and strip for some fast cash. She also want to visit her friends too as she is homesick but we cant afford the flights.

We are going through a bad patch at the moment, she has had a misscarriage, and we are fighting too.

I really love her, but I'm not sure if I can handle her dancing again. She tells me that I am unreasonable and its just a job, but there is a feeling inside of me that is 'tearing me up'.

I don't know what to do. I told her that this could break us up but she still wants to go. I've tried explaining to her how it makes me feel but she dosn't seem to care. I've even offered to get a second job to pay for her but she still wants to dance.

Our Suggestion:
It's perfectly understandable why you feel uncomfortable with your fiancee stripping. You have to accept the fact that she wants to return to it for a short while and be back home.

Whether you can handle it is up to you. You seem to have done everything you could do to try to convince her to stop but she won't. So it's up to you whether you care enough about her to let her do what she wants or not.

Keep in mind that the subject could come up again in the future so you might say it's ok this time but not for the future.

Good luck,
George
