Visitor's Question:
I've been dating this guy for two months now, and he's 20 years older then me but we get on so well. But because of the age gap theres alot of problems. He was married but is now divorced and I'm perfectly fine with that, but he has kids who are a similar age to me. And he says they could never find out because they'd never speak to him again, I think they'd learn to deal with it if we got serious but maybe thats just me being optimistic. One minute he says were gonna be together for ages, the next he's saying were nothin long term. I really love him and I usually don't get feelings for guys. He says it's really difficult for him to trust me because of how I treated men before, but I think that was because I hadnt got over my ex, but i have been over him for about 4 months now. Also when I first met him I told him I was a bit older then what I was, after a week I told him because I really liked him and didnt think I would. I need to know what to say about confronting him about him saying one thing and then changing his mind every time I see him. I'm convinced he's gonna finish with me everytime I see him. And I need to know how I can get him to trust me more. I'm genuinely being honest with him now and not hiding anything, except for the fact that I'm an escort, but I am going to finish that in a month. I don't know what to do it's so messed up! I am 18.

Our Suggestion:
There is an old Spanish song called "Que sera, sera" which means "What will be, will be."

You are just going to have to play this by ear and see where it goes. Wait and see if your boyfriend can get over his doubts about your relationship. You can help him think it through. For example, his kids don't have to know how old you are.

Your current occupation also presents a problem. Are you ever going to tell him about it or not? And if you don't, what if he finds out?

There are a lot of confusing things, as you said. My best advice is to wait and see what happens.

Good luck!
George
