Visitor's Question:
Hi. I'm a thirty-something woman involved with a younger man. We have an amazing time together, we connect on every level, but he always waits for me to do the initiating. When we are together he always makes references about us seeing each other again, but he never takes action. If stop to see what he will do, he will then call and ask where I have been. I have expressed to him in the past that I'd like him to call me too sometimes and take charge. I think he was very spoiled and is used to having things his way without putting much effort into it. I know he cares for me very much and I care for him to, but how do I get him to put his ego aside and admit it!!! This is so frustrating. I feel like we are wasting precious time cause he simply can't admit that he wants me, and I'm getting tired and uncomfortable having to do all the initiating. It's simply too easy for him.

Thanks in advance for the help...

Our Suggestion:
What a new world we live in!

It used to be the man's responsibility to initiate all dating and all that goes with it. Now we find a man who, for whatever reason, doesn't want to the initiating. I agree it should be a shared responsibility, but it isn't always going to happen that way.

You need to decide whether to put up with his spoiled attitude or to try to change it. My advice is to try to change it but be prepared to be disappointed. Leave him messages on his phone reminding him it is his turn to ask you out. He will get the message eventually.

Good luck!
George
