Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Hello,
I have gotten myself into a big mess. For awhile I've had a very flirty relationship with a male co-worker and we have shared a mutual attraction and affection.
But because of that I started giving him a hard time because i wanted more, and he doesn't want to give it.
There have been some tense times between him and I. But he always gets over it and will treat me very sweetly again.

Recently when we were out as a group i was very mean to him (kicking him, and pushing him) because I was very drunk and wanted his attention. Well his reaction to me the next work morning was very hateful. I see that i hurt him and he is avoiding even being near me. He came over to me and said he only wants a work relationship and that he doesn't want to know me on a personal level and that we are not friends anymore. He called me a mean person, even though he knows I'm not at heart.
I don't know how to fix this....I feel like he meant those words forever. It's been 2 days and he won't let me speak to him.
HOw do I win back his trust?
Please help.

Our Suggestion:
So you kicked him and shoved him and now you want to know how to get him back.

This wasn't even a boyfriend but a co-worker at a bar.

You didn't mention that you tried to apologize but perhaps he didn't give you a chance.

So the first move is to apologize... you could probably find an "I'm sorry" card.

Next stay away from him as he wishes for at least a month. Keep smiling at hiim when you see him, even if he doesn't look or looks away.

After a month, ask him if you could chat where you would apologize again and try to come to good terms with him.

You have an uphill road to climb.

Good luck!
George
