Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Okay the basics, I'm a high school senior and my girlfriend that I'm having problems with is a junior. I am her first serious boyfriend. We dated for 9 months and it was amazing, we had everything anyone would want. We had fun, happiness and we never fought. I was real hesitant to use the word love until I knew I meant it, and we did get to the point of using the "I love you"'s. I even am going to apply to the college in my town to stay close to her.

Now my problem.. About two weeks ago her and I broke up because she felt she no longer loved me the way she used to. She did tell me I am the same person she used to love. And we have talked a lot, and I have found out that one of the things she didn't like about us was that our relationship got boring, and she started to lose interest. Of course I told her this can be fixed easily with actions and communication. She was also scared that when I go to college we would break up, as she didn't want to be any part of me choosing a college. Now I honestly was interested in this college before and she knows now that I would not leave her.

My first question is, if her and I never fought, and we had the time of our lives with each other for 9 months, how does she think she fell out of love with me, and no there is no other guy I know this for sure. My second question, how can I try and get her back by having more fun, she is really hesitant because she is busy at the moment and is scared nothing will change. Please help, this girl means so much to me, and although I only want her to be happy, I can't help but think about the times we had and the times that I want to have in the future. Thank you.

Our Suggestion:
Is it possible that you two are on different wavelengths when it comes to sex?

If she is interested in more sexual activity (not necessarily sex itself) then she may find your relationship boring.

That's the first thing that comes to mind.

Otherwise, she may have just fallen out of love with you... it happens.

The best thing you can do is to remain good friends with her and hope for things to turn around. Be a strong shoulder for her to lean against when she has problems and a kindly ear for her to share her feelings with.

Sorry you are in this situation!
