Visitor's Question:
Hi George!

Thanks to your advice, I recently broke up with my boyfriend. I still feel the hurt that he caused me, but I’m doing 100% better and know I did not make a mistake. Ever since the break up, I have been hanging out with one of my guy friends a lot. He is super great and has really made an effort to be there for me and make me feel better. The reason why we gravitated towards each other is because he is the only single person I know, and therefore has a lot more free time then all my girlfriends. I do have feelings for this guy and think if we started dating we would make a good couple, however, since I just ending a relationship, I’m not going to start dating again for a very long time. Unfortunately, my ex is a good friend to his family, hence how we met. Although the guy I like now is not friends with my ex, his sister, and parents are pretty close to him. I guess my real question is………is it messed up to date someone you met threw your ex? Even thought I’m not yet ready to date, should I get the idea of “us” out of my head now? I kinda feel like who I date is my business, and no one else. However I don’t want to start drama or cause turmoil to the family? what should i do?

thanks

Our Suggestion:
You are very wise not to do the rebound thing. Wait a while before you date again.

It's too early to start worrying about what the family will think of your dating the new fellow. My guess is it wouldn't worry them. In any case save that problem for the future.

Good luck!
George
