ok theres this guy at school and he tells me all the time that he really likes me and i tell him that too, over the phone but im a VERY shy person when u first meet me and we have been in class together now for almost 6 weeks and im really funny and outgoing on the phone but hes so upset that he always has to beg me just to hug him in public and i really honestly want to but i freak out and then that makes him think that i don't like him and tonight we had a conversation on aim about how he doesn't think we need to go out ever because i have such an awful way of showing him how i feel and i really really do like him and he got mad and signed off and i really want to fix this because he makes me so happy and i find myself sitting up all night just waiting for him to call and now i feel like ive lost everthing please tell me what to do i need help desperatly i want him back before he starts thinking about someone else!!!i just can't physically show him how i feel cause im scared to and its making him mad cause its just a simple hug so i feel stupid!



Our Suggestion:
Are you comfortable hugging other people, like your family or friends?

If so, practice hugging them and pretending it's you b/f.

Do you think you could sneak up from behind him and give him a big hug from behind? If you can do that, you might be able to give him a regular hug next.

When you think of hugging him, what feelings do you get? Do you worry where to put your arms, or books in the way. If so, practice hugging your door and using his name.
