Say in a voice directed at her so she is sure to hear it "Hi" (hername) and give her a big smile. If you have a minute to chat, ask her how she is doing and she will say fine... how are you doing? Or even if she doesn't say that have something ready to reply like Oh I just got out of ---- class, it's rough. That should be enough. If talking doesn't work then... Write her a note telling her that you are attracted to her. Give her your telephone number, email, etc. If she doesn't contact you, you can be reasonably sure she doesn't like you romantically.
