Visitor's Question:
I'm from the Philippines and I've been goin steady with this girl for 9 months until she migrated to US to be with her father. We both agree to continue with the relationship and hope after she gets citizenship status then she could petition me for a fiancee visa and we could be together again. I've put a great deal of trust on her. She's been there for 3 months now. However, lately she was too cold whenever we talk on the phone or over the net. I ask her if there's something wrong but she says there isn't, and then for a while she gets mad at me for having such thoughts. She has loss the sweetness that she had when we were still seeing each other. For 2 weeks now, I've been consumed by paranoia and I can't erase the thoughts that she's having an affair. But I really love her, and if there's really something wrong, I wanna save our relationship... What does this mean? Has she given up on me? What can I do with my situation?

Our Suggestion:
You are in a tough situation.

Your g/f is not as sweet as she used to be and is acting cool. You are thousands of miles away and must rely on the phone and the internet to communicate.

My advice is to continue your relationship and be as happy as you can be. Don't accuse her of being cold or ask if there is someone else. Act like everything is normal. Because, as far as you know, everything is ok and she may be just having a temporary problem she is trying to deal with.

The more normal you act, the better she should act.

Good luck! George
