Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
First of all..you guys are awesome! I submitted questions before and got good advice so obviously, I am back for more. I work with a girl who has a boyfriend and we have been getting to know each other for about two months now. The usual talking/getting to know each other at work thing, been out for drinks with her a few times, I have even met the boyfriend who of course was less than impressive. Honestly, if I liked the guy, I would say so but he seemed so stuck up it wasn't funny. So we went out to lunch last week and it went well. She tells me this, I tell her that. she even told me about her health issues growing up i.e. braces, glasses, eye patch, speech problem. I am thinking Wow! she is opening up. We both agree it was fun and we'd do it again. then today, she asks me when we are going to do lunch again. So of course, I say Today! We go and it's the same getting to know each other, talk about work for a bit, etc. The only thing that bugs me is that she told me she has a lot of guy friends. Other than that comment, I would think that there was a distinct possibility of more than friends. She doesnt mention the boyfriend much to me and if so, its not in "I love him" way. It's more of a complaining thing. So my question is....am I starting to crack this shell or am I doomed for friendland? I know at some point I am going to have to let her know that I am not interested in just friends but dont know when or if I should? Could you please give me some more of your great advice? Thanks again!

Our Suggestion:
It definitely sounds like you are cracking the egg and she is liking you more and more.

Keep things going as they are and be sure to tell her how enjoyable it is to be with her. Monitor her feelings about her boyfriend... it may remind her how she is not mad about him...and you will look better.

It seems to early to let her know your real feelings. Nearer to Christmas might be a good time since most everyone is in a good mood then. Don't wait until January which is a gloomy month.

Good luck! George
