Visitor's Question:
For the first time in my life, I found someone I didn't like or care for at first and grew to fall deeply in love with. This girl is everything I wanted and I didn't even know she was as much like me as she is. We were starting to become the best of friends and she would laugh at almost everything I did. She is shy so it was hard to tell if she really cared or not at first. She is also latino/hispanic and I'm white so I wasn't sure if that might be an issue. I tried asking her out once in a vauge and awkward way "So would you want to hang out like outside of just work sometime." And her response was "And do what? I don't think you'd like going ot the hispanic clubs my friends and I go to." However, she herself said when I first met her that I should hang out with her friends. I waited around longer before attempting again. Then I got sick with the flu and had to go to Vegas, and then when I got back I was determined to make my feelings known. On the day I was going to tell her my feelings she told me she might start dating this guy that she's liked since before I knew her. I think they might be dating now, I haven't talked to her as much and things have been wierd since that day. Although tonight we talked almost as normally as before that day, but I feel a bit more distanced from her than before.

My question is this. What happened? Did she like me and I just waited around too long? Was it just friends? And is my shot at my dream girl I didn't know was my dream girl gone forever?

Our Suggestion:
No your shot at your dream girl is not gone.

In fact you are still in a good position to make things work out for you.

Keep talking with her and become as good a friend as possible. If she tires of this new boyfriend you will be in a good position to date her. Ask her to teach you Spanish that will impress her.

Good luck! George
