Telling her you care

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Hello im a guy who has grown quite fond with a friend i have had for two years. We are close friends. We already do the movie thing, and the dinner thing and we help eachother with everything. I have basically been there for her when ever she needed me. I have liked her for sometime and despite that i was never shy or uncomfortable around her until yesterday. For her birthday i gave her a bracelet, one that i thought reflected her nicely. I rehearsed what i was going to say to her and I had a list of better hints to drop but when the time came i called her a "good friend". She was still extatic and touched but i still never said what i wanted to! I know why i am nervous but after that gift opportunity blown should i just come out and say it or should i wait and watch her? So far she has been incredibly difficult to read. All of her other boyfriends were at one time her best friend. I wont see her for 2 weeks due to a family trip but when she comes back what should i do?

Our Suggestion:
The way to ease into the subject is to tell her that you are "developing feelings" for her.

She will understand what you mean and feel comfortable responding.

I hope this turns out well for you! George
