Visitor's Question: I've been dating this girl for 5 months, and 4 months previous to us starting to date, she broke up w/ a 6 year boyfriend. We've been getting progressively closer hanging out A LOT..whenever i have doubts about it (the boyfreind doesnt seem to be going away..he still calls her all the time) she always reassures me that she's completely DONE with him and is not going to get back, but she wants to remain friends w/ him. Her communicating w/ him makes me uncomfortable and the other day i found out she called him at 5 am while i was sleeping, from my cellphone to talk to him (not to mention deleted the call from my phone). She admits it was a huge mistake and that she was sorry and knows it was wrong, but she was bored and needed someone to talk to, and he was the 'only one who picked up'.. She's a very private person and i always get the feeling she's hiding something from me, mainly because i think she thinks itll get me mad...how can i deal with this ex boyfreind situation and the general trust issues? Thank you so much!!!! Our Suggestion: Dealing with ex's is always a problem. There is usually a nagging worry that your gf will want to get back with him. Keep talking with her about it, that will help since she will constantly asssure you that everything is ok... unless you nag her way too much. As far as jealousy, the best thing to do is to fight it like an enemy. Whenever a jealous though comes to mind, attack it telling it that your g/f loves you and to go away and stop bothering you.
