It's funny how pervasive arguments and fighting can become. You almost begin to think of them as "normal". It's only when you find a person truly meant for you - one where you never argue or yell at all - that you wonder how you ever survived the stress of daily fighting.

Regardless of what you see on sitcom TV, a healthy relationship does NOT involve constant yelling or fighting. A healthy relationship involves two people who respect each other, and who talk about problems when they occur. If you and your partner have to resort to raised voices to resolve a problem, it is an incredibly huge sign that something is seriously wrong. Don't ignore this warning sign. Work to fix the problem now - before the relationship disintegrates.

There are thousands of tips online that are tried and proven in helping you handle stress, handle arguments and find resolutions to problem. Think of it as "child rearing tips" for the not-so-young. If there are ways to reason with and handle a screaming 2 year old, then surely there are ways to reason with your hopefully more mature partner.
